After
25 years of evaluating student perception of their learning environment,
Ray Kohn formed Quesco Ltd in 1997 to provide a specialist service
to organisations serious about training and education. Quesco’s
database of learner perception drawn from tens of thousands of students
provided the basis for identifying patterns of learner preference.
The company followed this up with intensive (European-funded) research
through which the Envirolearn system was developed.
The development of Envirolearn has brought Quesco
into contact with a great many education and training providers.
The largest project has been with the UK’s main on-line provider,
the University for Industry (Ufi). Ufi has 1400 learndirect centres
and bought in Envirolearn to provide the basis of the design manual
for all its centres.
Direct advice and support has been provided by
the Envirolearn team to centres in London, Belfast, Nottingham,
Sheffield and other major cities as well as a range of smaller centres
in country towns. Envirolearn has benefited centres of all sizes
catering for a wide variety of customers.
